A Vegetarian?

On January 1, 2018 I made the decision to become a Vegetarian. I believe we owe it to ourselves to figure out what our bodies enjoy and what is harmful to them. I started to digress from meat in 2017 and decided making the transition from carnivore to herbivore would not be so hard. The transition was not as hard as I thought it would be because I had only been eating chicken, no beef or pork. When I first made my transition, I was consuming a lot of carbs and not as much vegetables which is one of the most valuable parts of being a vegetarian. Although it has only been 2 months, I am learning more as I go and striving to respond to my body when it calls.

  1. Yes boo, I’m loving this. I love that you’re getting into all of that nutrition stuff; i love it too! Just a tip— carbs are actually your bff. It’s not carbs that are the problem; it’s the white starch’s & sugars. People always call them carbs but just keep in mind that vegetables are carbs too& they are really important if you’re trying to lose lbs. (not that you need to at all). Also, I’m curious on how you get your protein in?

    1. Hey boo! I wanted to start eating more balanced and I found I was eating carbs to keep full and not really incorporating vegetables or protein which give me energy, so in return I was feeling sluggish and tired. I also eat alot of eggs, mushrooms, squash, cashews, almonds, peanut butter and avocado as sources of protein.
